Trisha (MacConnell) Bacon began Scottish Highland Dancing at age 6 and remains actively involved nearly three decades later. During her competitive career, she was the winner of eleven championship titles. Trisha was a finalist to the United States Highland Dancing Championship thirteen times and finished among the top six dancers in her age group ten times. She is a two-time World Championship finalist and a World Championship medalist. Trisha has been certified to teach Highland Dancing through the Scottish Dance Teachers’ Alliance in Scotland since 2002 and has been a Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing Judge since 2013.
Trisha holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University and enjoys using her physical therapy background while teaching Highland Dancing to promote a safe and healthy learning environment for her students.
